Jr High Friday Nightapalooza

Attention all of the free world! Look out this Friday night, the 12th, the College Church Jr. High students will be invading the church from 7:00pm until......? Jeff and Mary Swain have been stupid (oops) I mean BRAVE enough to coordinate the event. If your Jr. High student is going to attend please call Jeff or Mary and let them know. It will just be a social night of games, food and movies, etc. Any questions just call the Swains or me. Looking forward(because I'm brave too) to a fun night with our students.

Time Warp

Hello all, I am here in the office getting ready to face the parents for our meeting tonight. I am kidding, I,m looking forward to it to help answer any questions they may have regarding the youth group. The important notice here is a time change for our BBQ for the High school group at Gene and Linda's house on Saturday the 13th. We are going to start at 1:00pm due to many people leaving to go out of town on vacation . Hope to see everyone in an about an hour or so we start at 5:30 tonight. See you, Lex

Parent Trap

Hello all, I hope all of you had a great weekend. I enjoyed numerous graduation parties with lots of friends, food and fun. Sunday was a great day with good classes and plenty of good times and yummy little cupcakes (thanks Suttons!) for class time. I just wanted to remind everyone about next Sunday night June 7th, we will meet with parents for dinner in the fellowship hall at 5:30. After dinner together I will have a parent meeting and all the students get to go and watch a movie together. If you have any questions about the food contact Kyle Mason@250-3080. Also, High school students please make sure you Répondez s'il vous plaît (RSVP). I found out it is a French thing!

I need to know if you are coming to the Senior BBQ on the 13th or not.

Upcoming events

Summer time is coming and graduations are upon us! Our next Sunday night dinner is on May 31st. We are doing something different this time so we will need some volunteer drivers, let me know if you can help with that event. On Sunday June 7Th we will be having a family dinner here at church and during class time I will be conducting a parents meeting while the students are in class. I will have more dates and events coming soon. Attention to our High school seniors as I have already told you we will be having a senior dinner hosted by Gene and Linda Sue on June 13Th at their house. I will have flyers for you soon but make sure to keep that evening open! Take care all, Lex.

Springfest Success

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped make Springfest such a huge success. The trip down and back was easy and the hotel was really nice. We even had some funny events outside the Springfest stuff, I will never eat pickles again, thanks Cody. We were very proud of Rachel in the talent show for saying all 50 states in alphabetical order in under 18 seconds! We missed the Suttons during the day but hey second row seats at a private Jonas' brothers concert cannot be beat by me. We all learned and laughed, a lot especially at the Panic Squad! Thanks again for a great trip all of you were great reps for our church here at home. Post some comments of your favorite things from the trip. Lex

Fun in the Snow!

The snow trip was a big success, and a lot of fun. Thanks to Gary and Grace for the use of their cabin in Shaver. We enjoyed good food, a devotional time, and a great time at the snow park. Check out the pictures.

Pismo Trip Recap from Ken Cowger

Last weekend was the youth group camping trip to Pismo Beach CA. What a great trip! Tami & I were lucky enough to attend the camp out and cook for the kids! We camped on the beach with 2 RV trailers and about 10 tents. The kids went body surfing, collected shells, went shopping at the outlets, played football, rode ATV's and went 4 wheeling! There was a lot to do for a one night stay over. Lex did a great job with the kids, with a devo on Sat. night and church on Sun. morning. It's so nice to see the kids enjoying each others company, playing together and singing together. We were blessed to be involved. This is a great group of kids and I see great things ahead for this group!
